Spinnaker Resorts - Customer Service said we could get out of contract - Duped!
After my husband was diagnosed with dementia, I contacted Spinnaker Resorts to let them know we would no longer be able to use the timeshare we'd never been able to use. It is payed off, so they could easily resell it.
I was told to send medical documentation of my husband's diagnosis. Karen Geiger at Spinnaker Resorts put in writing that she would present that information to the "board", and we would be able to get out of the contract. I complied. It has been six months, and Ms.
Geiger no longer responds to email message. I think they were looking for a way to gather personal information and saw an opportunity. Here is one of our first contacts:

It is my understanding, you just die and once no one pays the fees, they then take it back. If you are alive, you get a judgement and lien against your house.
They want you both at the presentation because there is a less likely chance of you both dying at the same time.
The remaining spouse is left having the debt. These are not worth the time or aggravation.
