I was contacted by Spinnaker Resorts in June, 2015 and purchased a vacation "getaway" package from them. The package included (1) a trip to Hilton Head, SC, Ormond, FL or Bronson, MO; (2) a cruise to the Bahamas or Cancun; and (3) a trip to Myrtle Beach.

I wrote down important details during the sales call and specifically remember being told more than once that we could schedule our vacations "anytime". We also received a letter from Spinnaker dated June 25, 2015. The letter/contract is very detailed and includes "Terms and Conditions". There is nothing at all in the contract about an expiration date for the package.

I called Spinnaker to make reservations but every date and option was "unavailable". I ended the call with no reservation. In June 2016, I called again to schedule our time in Ormond, Florida for August, 2016 since our daughter was getting married on a nearby beach on August 20. I was again refused and told that the Florida vacation was not available from April 1 - August 31.

When I called a third time to schedule a vacation, I was told that our package expired. I told the rep that there is nothing in their Terms related to a time frame or expiration to no avail. On March 1, 2017, I called and complained about the expiration of our package (after 18 months) and stressed that there is nothing in the information received from them about expiration of the package. After wrangling with the rep for several minutes, she gave me two dates available dates for the Hilton Head trip and her extension number.

I checked the calendar and talked to my husband, and called her back the same day to confirm our date. The extension she gave me did not work, and I was told that she would call me back. I'm still waiting. Over the last several months I have been contacted by Spinnaker Resorts numerous times.

Each time the reps said they were calling because my package expired and they wanted to make it up to us. Then they proceeded to tell me all about these fantastic destinations and perks which (of course) involves me sending them more money. Seriously?!? Each call ended badly as soon as they realized I was not falling for their scam a second time.

Their attitudes changed instantly when I told them that only an idiot would do business with them again after being scammed the first time around. Every rep that has called to sell me a second package has turned rude and hostile when I declined. *I noted in the other reviews that some people were able to "extend" their packages. I was not given that option.

DID ANYONE ACTUALLY RECEIVE NOTICE OF AN EXPIRATION DATE? I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE A RESPONSE.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Spinnaker Resorts Cons: Scam people, Being lied too, Customer service.

Location: 3901 N Kings Hwy #16, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, USA
